Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is one of if not the most historic city in the United States. Some of its most historic sites include Independence Hall, the place where the Declaration of Independence was signed, and the Liberty Bell. Philadelphia is one of only 12 cities to have a professional sports team in each of the major four sports. The Phillies (MLB) have one 2 World Series titles, and play their games at Citizen Bank Park, which opened in 2004 and can seat up to 43,000 people. It is a great venue for concerts and events; in fact it was just the host of the 2012 NHL Winter Classic, an NHL regular season game played outdoors, between the New York Rangers and the Philadelphia Flyers. Kennedy Stadium and opened back in 2006. In the heart of the city one will find the Avenue of the Arts. This avenue contains many of the famous theater venues in Philadelphia, including the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. This is home to one of the best orchestras in the United States, the Philadelphia Orchestra. Other famous theaters in the area include the Suzanne Roberts Theatre, Wilma Theatre, and a couple of blocks east is the Walnut Street Theatre, which is the oldest theatre in the United States. Philadelphia has also had its fair share of influence on music. A style of music called Philadelphia Soul, which a mix between R&B rhythm and Pop vocals, was one of the foundations of Disco. With its great musical influence, Philadelphia has many venues all over town that bring great quality shows year round. One of the best venues in Philly is the Trocadero Theatre. Originally a musical theatre and burlesque spot, but new renovations have made this an ideal spot for the latest artists, comedians and even some poets.
